Any simple pasta recipes?

I am just a newbie in cooking and I'm planning to cook a very simple yet, good pasta. I would prefer an easy recipe with ingredients that are easy to find esp. here in Manila. Any suggestions?Any simple pasta recipes?
As it turns out, goat cheese makes a really great quick, creamy pasta sauce. And whether you blanche your pasta with asparagus or you swap in fava beans or string beans or seriously, you name it, this comes together so quickly that I forgave it for not winning any beauty contests.

Serves 6

1 pound spiral-shaped pasta

1 pound slender asparagus spears, trimmed, cut into 1- to 1 1/2-inch pieces

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon finely grated lemon peel

2 teaspoons chopped fresh tarragon plus more for garnish

1 5- to 5 1/2-ounce log soft fresh goat cheese (the pre-crumbled stuff will not melt as well)

Fresh lemon juice to taste (optional)

Cook your pasta in a large pot of well-salted water until it is almost tender, or about three minutes shy of what the package suggests. Add asparagus and cook until firm-tender, another two to three minutes. Drain both pasta and asparagus together, reserving one cup of pasta water.

Meanwhile, combine olive oil, lemon peel, tarragon and cheese in a large bowl, breaking up the goat cheese as you put it in. Add hot pasta and asparagus to bowl, along with a couple slashes of the pasta water. Toss until smoothly combined, adding more pasta water if needed. Season genersously with salt and pepper, and lemon juice if you feel it needs a little extra kick.Any simple pasta recipes?
In a frying pan, add some oil and chopped onion - cook until the onion has softened. Then add some chopped garlic and cook for just a couple minutes. Then add some diced tomatos (3 large, or 6-7 small). Add some seasonings (basil, thyme, oregano, whatever you like or have available). Cook until the tomatos break down into a sauce and then toss with your pasta noodles. For a variation, add some shrimp and cook them in the sauce.
If you want something that's really simple then go for cheesy pasta with bacon.

Cook some pasta in a pan.

Whilst its cooking grate some cheese into a bowl (cheddar of course, and a fair amount)

When the pasta is nearly done start to cook some bacon.

When the pasta is done drain it, then put it back in the pan. Add the cheese and put it back on the heat for about 10 seconds whilst stirring it. The cheese should melt all around the pasta.

Pour the pasta into a bowl, then place the cooked bacon on top.

Ta-da, very simple, and it tastes very good.
I really enjoy both eating and preparing this Kasha with Bow-ties pasta dish, http://frigidaire.stores.yahoo.net/kasha鈥?/a> It really is very easy to prepare and is very tasty. I'm sure would have no problem tackling this dish on your own.

Hope this helps and enjoy!
I like to take shell pasta or bow-tie either one and cook pasta then add miracle whip and a pkg of dry ranch dip and bacon bits the real bacon bits are better but i've done both and both are good. I've also added some sweet peas and carrots to this and it is really good. chill and serve.
